DEVELOPMENT OF NEW EXPRESSION SYSTEMS FOR MAMMALIAN CELLS
PanGen has continuously been developing various new vector systems for mammalian cells
(CHO, BHK, HEK-293) as well as yeast and E. coli. The new systems are designed to be
easier and faster in the expression of a particular gene.
DEVELOPMENT OF CELL LINES FOR LARGE SCALE PRODUCTION OF
WELL-KNOWN PROTEINS OR ANTIBODIES
Many stable cell lines of well-known therapeutic proteins have been developed for
large scale production using PanGen's proprietary technology.
AUTOMATION FOR CHO CELL LINE DEVELOPMENT
PanGen is designing and building an automated cell culture system
which improve the quality control and efficiency of generating cell lines, even further.
DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH THROUGHPUT DRUG SCREENING (HTS) SYSTEM
PanGen provides a high throughput drug screening system for GPCRs,
expressing in CHO cells. Such cell line will be applied for in vivo drug screening for the particular cell types such as in the case
of neuron specific proteins, for example.
GENOMICS USING CHO CELL TECHNOLOGY
It is no secret that many companies are now racing to discover new therapeutically
valuable protein drugs from the sequence data obtained from the Human Genome Project. Most
companies are using E. coli or yeast technology because they are faster and
easier to work with. However, PanGen believes that those companies will
eventualy turn their attention to CHO cells because those proteins have more therapeutic value. Therefore,
PanGen is developing hundreds of cell lines for genes of unknown function relying on our advanced CHO cell vector technology
and internally developed automated cell culture system. PanGen is ready to collaborate with other interested companies
who are positioned to discover new therapeutically valuable proteins through gene hunting and genomics research.
